Rising from the Ashes: The Phoenix Pub Unveils Its Stunning Rebrand by Spencer Designs
Eastbourne is buzzing with the exciting news of a local favourite undergoing a fantastic transformation! The much-loved Nuthouse Pub has officially spread its wings and emerged as the vibrant new Phoenix Pub, and National Signs was thrilled to play a key role in bringing this fresh vision to life.
Rebranding:
Jeff, the owner of the newly christened Phoenix Pub, felt it was the perfect time for a change. seeking a revitalised identity that would resonate with both loyal patrons and new visitors. He entrusted the expertise of Spencer Designs to handle the complete rebranding of the pub’s visual presence, from striking exterior signage to welcoming internal details.
Our team at Spencer Designs embarked on this exciting project, starting with the design and installation of a brand new main sign that truly captures the spirit of the Phoenix. Crafted using durable and sleek dibond panels, the main sign provides a modern and robust canvas. We then applied a vibrant digital print to showcase the new Phoenix Pub branding.

To add a touch of depth and sophistication, we meticulously CNC cut the lettering for the pub’s name. We then fitted each letter with locators and carefully placed them onto the dibond panels.This clever technique creates a captivating 3D effect, making the pub name literally stand out and catch the eye of passersby.
Frosted Vinyl:
The rebranding didn’t just involve the main sign. We also made the pub windows look better with frosted vinyl. This gave some privacy but still let sunlight in. Plus, the frosted windows made the outside of the pub look more stylish. On top of that, we carefully cut the pub’s name and maybe other details out of the vinyl. This made the windows look clean and professional.

No traditional pub is complete without a classic hanging sign, and The Phoenix Pub is no exception. Spencer Designs designed and installed a brand new hanging swing sign, ensuring it’s both eye-catching and in keeping with the pub’s fresh identity. This traditional element adds a welcoming touch and further reinforces the new name.
Finally, to ensure the rebranding was consistent throughout the premises. Spencer Designs also designed and installed various internal signs within the pub. These could include wayfinding signage, directional signs, or even decorative elements that tie into the new Phoenix theme. This creates a cohesive and immersive experience for customers.
The transformation of The Nuthouse into The Phoenix Pub is a fantastic example of how effective signage can breathe new life into a business.
